Due to the number of errors and bugs experienced by users in the first beta release, Weather Desk B2 is being released ahead of schedule.The major addition in this release, along with the radar images, is a significantly enhanced Earth/Moon Viewer. Weather Desk can now automatically set the desktop to an updated image of the Earth while the menu extra is open. You can also manually set the desktop from the main application. This feature is disabled by default, you can enable it and choose settings from the Preferences window. Several buttons now appear below image views. These have various functions, such as opening the home page of the service from which the image is downloaded, viewing the image in Preview, or setting the desktop to the image. Not all of these options are available for each image.Weather Desk is a freeware application which displays weather conditions, forecasts, and related information on your desktop and in your menu bar. You can also view radar images (US only for now), images of the Earth or moon, automatically set your desktop to an updated image of the Earth centered above a station, and view the Astronomy Picture of the DayWeather Desk is built for speed, and includes several unique features: scrolling weather updates, custom icons for stations, location grouping, custom fonts and colors, and the ability to reorder your stations as you see fit.This application is freeware because we understand that not all users who need the software can actually afford to pay for it. However, if you can afford to send a donation of a few dollars our way, please do so.. because we can't afford to develop this software for free, either.
