e-Vue Image Viewer enables rapid Internet browsing using MPEG-4 based still images instead of larger JPEG image files. e-Vue Image Viewer, a plug-in for Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator browsers, gives users the ability to view single or multiple MPEG-4 images embedded in Web pages.The primary advantages of using MPEG-4 images, as opposed to other popular formats, comes from the tremendously reduced image file size achieved with MPEG-4 compression. Without sacrificing image quality, MPEG-4 image file scan be between 2 and 5 times smaller than other formats, resulting in considerably faster downloading and similar improvements in bandwidth usage.Rather than waiting for an entire image file to download, MPEG-4 images appear almost instantly in any one of three progressive modes: progressive by size, blur or block. E-Vue's exclusive progressive mode allows the viewer to see are cognizable image considerably faster than other image formats. This allows users to quickly determine whether to complete the download or move on, thus making for a more satisfying and productive Web experience. When connecting to the Internet via modems, you can view 6 to 12 MPEG-4 based pages inthe same time it would normally take to view as few as three pages using other image formats.Additional features of the e-Vue Image Viewer include: one-click access to copying and printing images, and the ability for users to access author information, comments and image properties that are stored as part of the image file.
