FreeTar packages the tar command line functionality into a familiar Mac OS X application. The user can drag files and folders onto the FreeTar application and FreeTar will do all the dirty work. The user will get a tar archive file ready for emailing, uploading to web or ftp sites, burning onto back-up CD's, or using in any one of the nearly infinite possible ways.
